The Finance Department serves Aiken County employees and the public through four divisions: Administration and Accounting, Central Procurement, Collections, and Grants Management.
The Administration and Accounting Division maintains fiscal responsibility for the County by overseeing all aspects of centralized accounting, internal and external audits, internal and agency budget and control, payroll, and reports taxes to the State and the Federal Government.
The Central Procurement Division serves the citizens of Aiken County through its implementation of policies to conserve monies through procurement and materials management, requisitioning, contract and lease negotiations, surplus property coordination, central stores management, and accounts payable.
The Collections Division seeks to assist the citizens who have used the County's Emergency Medical Services by prompt filing of both private and public insurance claims. This department is also responsible for collecting past due medical service claims.
The Grants Management Division aids Aiken County citizens by coordinating and administering all federal, state, and local grant funds.
