The Information Technology Department is dedicated to providing quality and efficient service to County departments and agencies so they may be better equipped to assist the citizens of Aiken County.

The Computer Services Division works with the County's computer users to provide installation of computer software and hardware, programming, training, and support. The addition of computer networks, email, and web browsing has improved communications and productivity for County offices.

The GeoServices Division is responsible for management, coordination and application of all GIS functions at Aiken County, including the county’s GIS Enterprise Geodatabase, and for 911 addressing of the entire county excepting the incorporated area of Aiken and North Augusta. This division provides comprehensive spatial data, analyses, maps and 911 addresses to Aiken County citizens, businesses and government offices.

The Records Management Division develops records retention schedules for all County offices, oversees the legal destruction of obsolete records, and plans for the development of micrographics and automated systems. This division also trains all County offices in proper records management techniques.

The Print & Postal Services Division provides printing and mail functions to 31 County offices in eleven buildings. This department handles pickup and delivery to the Aiken Post Office of over 2,000 pieces of mail daily plus delivery of interoffice mail.
