Landfills



The landfills are restricted to dispose of waste from within Aiken County only. Residents may only bring waste generated from their primary residence. Residents must provide proof of residency. Commercial and local businesses must purchase a permit to dispose of waste.

County landfills will be closed on Sundays and the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Confederate Memorial Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Savannah River Site

Hours of Operation: 6:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 12pm Saturday


Categories of waste acceptable in the C&D landfills:

  • Construction & Demolition Debris

  • Furniture

  • Land Clearing Debris

  • Yard Waste

  • Special Waste: Only Non-Friable Asbestos at Wagener C&D Landfill
